Taco Soup Recipe | Cooking for New Brides

Yay, so… we’re gonna talk Taco Soup. Like, for realz.

So you’re married… or you’re getting married. And you know what that means??? You’ll be cooking for at least two people now.

I’m meeting more and more new brides who ask me for recipes & ideas for meals that are easy yet AMAZING. I mean, let’s face it. Getting married is a HUGE LIFE STEP. Many new tasks are put on your plate – including dinner LOL & it can be difficult to juggle those new responsibilities with the ones you already had. Cooking is a passion of mine. I really really love it (and baking, too!) Since cooking & baking  are part of my story & who I am, I’ll be sharing some recipes with you every once in awhile. Which brings me back around to TACO SOUP! This recipe is SIMPLE. Like, make it in 10 minutes simple.

Senior Films Taco Soup

(This recipe feeds about 4-6 ppl.)

1lb. ground beef

1 packet of FAJITA seasoning mix (usually near gravy packets at grocery store)

1 packet of RANCH dressing seasoning

1 can of corn

2 cans of kidney beans

2 cans of black beans

1 can diced tomatoes

1 SMALL can of tomato sauce

1/2 (ish) cup of tomato juice

1/2 jar of salsa (you pick the heat level)

In a large cooking pot, brown your ground beef. You can season it if you’d like, but it isn’t necessary. Drain corn & beans only. Except for the tomato juice, add ALL canned ingredients including salsa to the browned, ground beef. Then stir in both packets of seasoning (fajita & ranch). Do all of this over low-to medium heat & mix thoroughly. Then add your tomato juice a little at a time – based on how thick you’d like it to be. If you like it to be more chili-like (thicker), use less tomato juice & vise versa. You don’t even need to bring to a boil. It simply needs to get nice & warm – then serve! Chips, shredded cheese & sour cream are awesome on the side! Enjoy!
